The TinyMyo™ Program is an evidence-based, in-office therapy program designed specifically for toddlers and preschoolers who need support with oral motor development, feeding, speech, and myofunctional function.
Children between the ages of 1 and 4 are often too young for orthodontics or traditional myofunctional therapy programs, but that doesn’t mean you should wait. In fact, this is the ideal age window for early intervention—before dysfunctional habits become lifelong issues.
I created the TinyMyo™ Program to meet the demands of my clients. I have had so many parents contact me over the years regarding their one through four year olds. These parents can often identify the problems/concerns from a very young age but are not sure what to do, or who to ask for help. At this age, children are too young for braces or to actively participate in an intensive Myofunctional Therapy Treatment Program, but they can definitely benefit from early intervention. . They are being offered invasive solutions such as surgery or toxic medications, which may temporarily relieve or mask symptoms (bandaid approach) but does not truly identify or address root cause underlying contributing factors.
Pediatricians will often "blow off" or minimize/normalize parental concerns regarding oral motor, speech, feeding, picky eating or myofunctional development for children under the age of 4. This is a missed opportunity to prevent bigger issues down the road. Every year that passes can make any problem more difficult to treat. Early Intervention in the areas of Oral Motor, Feeding, Speech and Myofunctional Awareness can be extremely beneficial. Doing nothing practically guarantees bigger issues down the road. Why wait until your child is six or seven to address myofunctional or speech concerns, when you can start addressing and treating their issues now? Our TinyMyo™ Program allows parents to help proactively promote and guide their children's speech, feeding and myofunctional development through play based strategies, and this can make an enormous difference.
Common does not mean normal. Just because some symptoms and behaviors are "common" in toddlers, does not mean they are normal. An open mouth posture at rest or when sleeping is a sign of potential airway problems. A child's breathing should NEVER be audible (day or night). If your child is mouth breathing, has enlarged or removed tonsils/adenoids, is a picky eater, sucks a thumb/digit or pacifier, has disturbed sleep or snores, they can absolutely benefit from receiving early intervention therapy focused on oral motor, speech and feeding skills with a focus on increasing myofunctional awareness.
While formal myofunctional programs typically are not appropriate for children younger than age four, the TinyMyo™ Program utilizes play based oral motor exercises and feeding therapy strategies to encourage passive and active participation in myofunctional strategies throughout the child's daily life. Sessions are geared to address any "red flag areas" observed during the assessment or reported by parents. Early intervention is KEY in bringing awareness to proper oral postures, breathing and swallowing.
TinyMyo™ is an excellent program for parents who require professional guidance in working with their child Pre and Post Frenectomy (before and after a tongue tie release). The TinyMyo™ Program has been designed for little ones and their unique needs. Children 1 to 4 years of age do not have the same oral motor skills as older kids, and their shorter attention spans also need to be taken into account. We teach you play based strategies to engage your child and help you incorporate the therapeutic strategies effectively.
Our TinyMyo™ Program is designed to support children ages 1–4 who struggle with picky eating—even extreme picky eating that can feel overwhelming for families. This play-based, parent-guided program combines oral motor exercises, sensory exploration, and myofunctional strategies to gently expand your child’s acceptance of new foods while improving the strength and coordination of the muscles needed for chewing and swallowing. By addressing the root causes behind picky eating—such as oral sensitivities, weak oral muscles, or delayed feeding skills—we help turn stressful mealtimes into positive, successful experiences. Parents are coached every step of the way, giving them the tools and confidence to continue progress at home and set the stage for a lifetime of healthy eating habits.
Our TinyMyo™ Program for kiddos ages 1 to 4 consists of modules focusing on oral motor, feeding, sensory and speech developmental skills. This program focuses on bringing awareness to Myofunctional concerns and providing parents with the tools and strategies to continue working on therapy goals even after the sessions are complete. This program will lay the foundational groundwork for proper oral resting posture, encourage proper speech, oral motor and feeding development while addressing concerns identified during the assessment.
The TinyMyo™ Program helps parents connect the dots and guide development in the right direction, and also helps connect you with the right providers to help you meet your goals. Myofunctional therapy is sometimes just one piece of the puzzle, requiring an interdisciplinary approach to help with any structural/medical/anatomical issues. Myofunctional assessment really looks to identify the root cause of your concerns. In our parent coaching sessions, we will help identify the need for additional referrals.
TinyMyo™ is a structured, individualized therapy program delivered by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists with advanced training in orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs). Each session is hands-on, developmentally appropriate, and clinically driven—offering direct therapeutic intervention for your child.
We work with toddlers and preschoolers on:
This is not consultation. This is not parent coaching. This is early intervention, tailored to the youngest patients during a crucial window of neurodevelopment and oral motor development.
Many children with orofacial or speech issues go unrecognized or untreated until age 5 or older—by which time patterns like open-mouth posture, speech sound distortions, picky eating, or mouth breathing are well-established and take longer to therapeutically remediate.
The TinyMyo™ Program addresses these issues early—during the most adaptable years—giving children the opportunity to correct function before bigger challenges arise.
It’s important to understand the difference:
Not all speech therapists are trained in myofunctional therapy. Our clinicians have advanced education in both. That means we’re not just correcting the symptom—we’re targeting the source.
Children often spend years in speech therapy with little progress, when an underlying oral motor or myofunctional disorder has never been addressed.
(Please note that a 3.5% processing fee will be added to each transaction)
All children must begin with a comprehensive in-office assessment. This assessment is the most valuable piece, as we develop the full picture which becomes your baseline to compare progress to as you continue through the program.
Assessment Includes:
Assessment Fee: $450
✔️ Includes a comprehensive Orofacial Myofunctional Assessment Report
✔️ Shared with referring provider upon request
✔️ Assessment fee due at time of booking

If you’ve tried other approaches and still feel like something is missing, you’re in the right place.

Most therapy models are fragmented.
Short visits. Minimal follow-up. Little accountability.
That approach often leads to:
Myofunctional therapy requires consistency, structure, and full follow-through to be successful. When care is stopped early or consistency decreases, the outcomes are often limited or incomplete.

You do not need to decide which program is right for you.
Every patient begins with a comprehensive initial assessment, where we evaluate function, identify root causes, and determine the level of care needed to achieve your goals.
Based on this assessment, we provide a clear, clinical recommendation for the program that best fits your case.
Some patients require a shorter, foundational program.
Others require more comprehensive, longer-term support to ensure proper outcomes and long-term success.
If your case involves multiple components or collaborative care, additional time and support are often necessary - and we will guide you accordingly.
Our goal is to place you in the right program from the start, so you can achieve the best results as efficiently and effectively as possible.
This is not just weekly therapy sessions.
This is a fully supported, individualized, comprehensive treatment experience.
Due to our specialized care, we have become truly a Commuter Practice. Patients travel to us from across Florida and beyond, or choose to work with us virtually, because of our highly specialized and comprehensive approach.
